General Practice Department of Zunyi Medical University was founded in September 2014, with the support from Chen Zhu who is the vice-Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee.

Zunyi Medical University has enrolled targeted-area students for five years since 2010. These students are cultivated as general practices and enjoy tuition and accommodation fee waiver. The students, however, have to sign contracts to make sure that they can work in township hospit-als for 5 years. All thestudents enrolled in 2010 are receiving standardized training now. Zunyi Medical University offers master’s degree from 2012 and there are 14 postgraduates till now, two of them graduated.

We devote ourselves to cultivate clinical thinking and practical ability, spread GP’s notion and publicize hierarchical diagnosis. The aim of faculty is training applied talents who can make effort to primary care.
